Our Story
Intercultural Ministries Ireland emerged out of the Mission Action Partnership and Evangelical Alliance’s desire to see the increasing number of our brothers and sisters in Christ from the global church making Ireland their home engaging with and enriching the wider Irish church and its witness.
In short,
In 2020 Nathaniel Jennings (OMF International) was tasked with identifying and building relationships with intercultural and diaspora church and ministry leaders serving locally. Out of this emerged a culturally diverse group of Christian leaders who helped form and shape IMI.
IMI was able to further develop and expand its activities as Lara Sanlon (Lausanne Europe / Latin Link), Noah Bartlett (ECM) and Jess Wong (Belfast Chinese Church) joined Nathaniel in serving as IMI ‘workers’.
IMI continues to evolve and deliver its ministries with the support of its ‘advisory group’ made up of local intercultural Christian leaders and its ‘reference group’ consisting of representatives from its partner organizations which include MAP, EA, Lausanne Europe, Latin Link, ECM, IC, and OMF.
